The Congregation St. Paul de Chartres, with its roots dating back to the 17th century in France, has a rich history of dedication to serving those in need. In 1860, the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres arrived in Vietnam, where they initially focused on managing schools, orphanages and hospitals and since then have continued their tireless work in assisting the impoverished and disabled. As their numbers reached approximately 1000 sisters, the congregation experienced growth and transformation, eventually splitting into four provinces: Hanoi, Saigon, My Tho, and Da Nang.

Today, within the Diocese of Da Nang, we, the Sisters of Congregation of St. Paul of Chartres cast our benevolent reach across 13 provinces spanning Vietnam’s northern and central regions. Through a diverse array of programs, we actively engage in education, nutrition, hygiene, and healthcare initiatives. Thanh Tam Specialized School is a significant component of our mission and outreach efforts.
